Sierra Club Drop-Off

View from South Bass Trailhead
Earlier this year, we got a chance to make a run out to Pasture Wash.  The Sierra Club was out for another epic adventure and needed a lift.  Two Suburbans loaded to the gills with people and gear.
Cheese is taking in the view.

After seeing the group get safely on the trail, Bob and I took some time to explore around.  My flip-flops were not the best choice of footwear, for Canyon scrambling.

Press-Bot Kickstarter Project update

               !!!GREAT NEWS!!!!

Due the amazing response to the Press-Bot's Kickstarter Project, Canyon Coffee is able to award backers with even higher quality rewards.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/briansiebert/press-bot-a-high-quality-french-press-in-a-nalgene

The Nalgene Bottles will be custom silk-screened with the official http://canyoncoffee.us/ logo, volume metrics, and the 'BPA free' symbol.  That's right, we are not just slappin' some sticker on there.

Flagstaff's own 'Late for the Train' coffee roasters will be the our supplier of beans.  We are working with these "master of coffee" to find the most optimum grind and measure for the best 'bot' of coffee.  Be on the lookout for "North Rim Roast", "the Boatman's Blend", and "North Rim Decaf".

Enjoy your day and do good things,
Brian

Two weeks with a dozen Australians.  We meet in Zion for a whirlwind of a trip.  Here is some pics from our Angel's Landing hike.

That Salida Riding

We had a great visit in Salida.  Ryanne was there to show her jewelry creations.  Jed, Wes, and I got a chance to sample some of the local singletrack.  Mmmmm, tasty.  We rode a bit of the Monarch Crest Trail and Foose Creek.

Summer Rains

All the recent rains have been washing the mountains clean.  We got about fifty feet into our walk and found this sweet little bird point, right in the middle of the trail.  Eagan was super stoked to be splashing around in the creeks.  A couple of hundred yards further, I reach into the flowing water and pull out this cool limestone point.  It was the same style as the bird point, only much larger.

Monsoons and Mountain Bikes

Mute and Horn out singlespeedin'

Summer rains are here and the trails are spectacular.
Horn's carving it up!!!
The singletrack is moist and ripe with line-gripping traction.

The guys and I have been hitting the Paradise Trails pretty regularly.  Heck, we even got ole Joe Murrayhttp://www.mtnbikehalloffame.com/page.cfm?pageid=6&memberid=26 to come out for some Rocky Ridge action.  However, I am off the bike for a bit with some bruised ribs.  A crumpling mid-air collision with Ponderosa Pine.
