How to safely light a camping stove (MSR Whisperlite)

Here is how-to light a 'jet' type backpacking stove:

1. Unfold the three stove legs.  The legs will securely snap into place.
2. Fill fuel bottle approximately 3/4 (0.75) to maximum capacity.
3. Thread pump into fuel bottle.
4. Pressurize fuel bottle by pumping three, or four, strokes.
5. Open fuel valve just enough to partially fill primer cup (below stove).
6. Close fuel valve.
7. Light primer cup and allow all fuel to burn
8. Once fuel in primer cup is exhausted, open fuel valve and light aerosolized fuel at top of stove burner.
9. If stove flame is tall and yellow, shut off stove and repeat priming process.
10. As fuel pressure decreases, give the fuel bottle a couple of strokes to increase pressure.
11. Turn fuel valve off when done cooking.
